Be done and move on!

 When a narcissist reaches out to you after a good amount of time it is only for validation. They want you to respond, calm or angry any response validates them. It gives the supply they need to boost their self-esteem. It proves to them that they still hold power over you, and you are still available for their abuse.  

They are not wrong to think this because it is factual. You still have things to say to them, so much on your chest that you have yet to let go of. You want them to know what they have done to you because in your normal mind they should care and feel remorse and give you the closure you need but they do not share your normal feelings and will never feel sorry for what they have done or give you a peace of mind. Be done and move on!
